The contestants on NBC's hit singing
competition show The Voice faced a major milestone on Tuesday as the
field was narrowed from 10 to only eight singers.
But - once again - it was 32-year-old coach Christina Aguilera who clearly stole the show.
On
the night glam rocker Kat Robichaud and bearded Austin Jenckes saw
their dreams end, Christina once again gave all the hopefuls a
masterclass as she joined her team for an amazing medley of Jackson
songs.

And her skimpy outfit showing off her amazing new shape was also a lesson in grabbing viewers' attention.
While fellow coach Adam Levine was officially named People magazine's Sexiest Man Alive during the show, it was Christina's daringly low-cut top that stole his thunder.
There was no doubting the impression Christina wanted to make as she wiggled her hips wildly as she strutted out on stage purposefully to the intro of Janet Jackson's Black Cat.
Sultry star: Christina owned the stage as she performed with her remaining singers
She's on fire: Christina showed the power in her voice as she sang along with the hopefuls
Once out of the shadows, she was seen in a tight black coat that split to show she was wearing just disco ball-patterned underwear over a see-through bodysuit and knee-high black boots.
She was joined by her remaining team, Matthew Schuler and 16-year-old Jacquie Lee - who proved just why they are favourites as they joined Christina first with Scream by Janet and her brother Michael, then moving onto Michael Jackson's mega hit Bad.
After a standing ovation from the other judges, host Carson Daly later told her that it was 'the best team performance we've ever had on this show.'
'Agreed,' Adam said loudly.
Carson continued: 'Without question. That was unbelievable. That was like a Grammy moment, it was awesome.'
Cool staging: Christina spiced things up on The Voice

Adam also stole much of the hopefuls' limelight as Carson confirmed on the live show that the Maroon 5 frontman was People magazine's Sexiest Man Alive, showing the mag's cover.
'Look at that hunk, sexiest man alive,' Carson said, joking to Adam's main rival Blake Shelton: 'I'm sorry Blake, guess it just didn't work out for you.'
'This is why I drink so much,' Blake quipped back. 'He stole all my thunder.'
He later told Adam that 'I want you to know that I think you're beautiful for what's on the inside' - getting a hug and kiss from his rival, and leading to a group hug with all four judges.
'Sexiest coaches alive,' Carson joked.
Adam remained coy about the honor, joking: 'Carson you just had that made, it's not real.'
But asked how he felt, he said: 'I feel sexy.'
'It's cool man, congratulations,' Carson told him. 'Give Clooney a year off for once.'
Major announcement: Carson Daly showed mentor Adam Levine the new People magazine declaring him the Sexiest Man Alive
Love you, man: Adam embraced fellow mentor Blake Shelton after being congratulated on being named the Sexiest Man Alive
Wait and watch: Cee Lo looked on behind sunglasses as he learned the fate of his team members
Christina and Adam also had the best of nights as all their team members went through to the final eight, with Cee Lo losing Kat and Blake losing Austin.
Kat and Austin were among the last three with Cee Lo's quirky 17-year-old Caroline Pennell.
But viewers decided to save her in a special five-minute Twitter vote - a decision that Adam clearly felt was the right one.
Narrowing the field: The remaining 10 singers gathered on the stage as they awaited their fate
'Caroline, what you're dong is just pure magic - I really love what you're doing,' he told her before she knew she had been saved by viewers' tweets.
The first hopefuls sent through to the next round were Team Adam's indie rocker James Wolpert and then Christina's Matthew Schuler, who turns 21 on Wednesday.
Next were Team Blake's single dad Ray Boudreaux, Team Adam's Will Champlin, and also his Tessanne Chin, the Jamaican who is a definite favourite.
Not a surprise: Powerful singer Tessanne Chin of Jamaica made it to the final eight
Swamp pop: Louisiana native Ray Boudreaux learned that he was advancing
Christina's Jacquie Lee, the youngest on the show, and then Team Blake rocker Cole Vosbury were the final two saved before the tweet verdict.
Carson insisted they had all been winners, however, revealing: 'Every one of our artists hit the iTunes singles chart, and four of them landed in the top 10 in the rock chart.'
Great eight: Team Adam rocker Will Champlin made it to the next round
Good job: Jacquie Lee beamed with pride as she learned that she had made the final eight
Congratulatory smooch: Blake planted a kiss on Cole Vosbury after he was saved by viewers
'Great to see so many of our artists all playing instruments,' Carson said. 'Seen a lot of that, more than normal.'
Viwers also got to hear James, Kat and Will perform Fall Out Boys' Sugar, We're Going Down, with James and Kat on guitars and Will on bass, and then Tessanne and Caroline on a duet to Lorde's hit Royals.
Tough act to follow: Blake and his singers had a tough time following Christina's group performance
Hashtag decision: Austin, Kat and Caroline waited to learn which singer would be saved by Twitter users
Moving on: Caroline learned at the end of the show that she was saved by Twitter users
